Prayer Wall 2022

Our parish family prays for each personal petition, a prayer of praise and thanksgiving, and prayer request entrusted to us for the spiritual and temporal needs of others. As you view the prayer wall, please join us in praying for the Church and the world in this vital prayer ministry rooted in the scripture and traditions of the Church. 

Each submission will be moderated before it is posted, so there may be a short delay before the request is public. When submitting an online prayer request, please know that this is not intended for urgent requests.

The family of Dolores Scherzer of St. Meinrad Parish requests prayers and petitions for Dolores. She will have emergency surgery for a recent neck and spine diagnosis (possible effects from an injury sustained several years ago) later this morning. The family of Josephine Kress of St. Meinrad Parish requests prayers for Josephine. On Sunday, November 28, Josephine suffered a stroke at home shortly before noon. She was transported to Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. Late Sunday evening, the family reported that the bleeding had stopped, and the next three days were crucial to her prognosis and healing/therapy possibilities. (November 28, 2021)

For the sick, infirm and homebound members of our parish family and community; members of our parish family who are in the care of others; and for the names, prayers, and petitions written in our parish books of prayer and petition and received through our prayer wall request portal.

The church invites each of us to pray for one another. We are called to share in the perpetual gift of prayer and petition for the needs of others, particularly for our brothers and sisters, who for whatever reason are unable or unwilling to pray for themselves because of their state of life or due to a lack of faith or in a time of spiritual doubt. We pray for others so that this indispensable ministry of charity may persevere "to bring good news to the poor, to heal the contrite of heart (Luke 4:18)."
